FRANK OSODI RICHARD SPEAKS ON WORK & WOMEN
FRANK OSODI RICHARD (Top Class Fashion Designer & Stylist) on FAJ-ALIVE (Friday, June 10, 2016):
If you watch all the shows now, there is no difference in what’s on the stage.
On Marriage: As an artist, you are…I think most people are involved with their work. It’s not that we make it that way. First of all, I’m indebted to a lot of customers. And I have to meet a target. And most Nigerian women, they never have anything in their wardrobe until the last minute.. a customer will call you on Friday, “Frank, I have an event tomorrow o”. Then you have to work extra hours… Sometimes, they accuse you of dating…you know how it is? I think it’s more of being too tied to my work.
On Helping Others (in the fashion industry): They come around… but there is no institution per se. It’s just on individual basis. I mean, I’m about uplifting others…
ON HIS LONG DRESSES: That’s what red carpet is all about. You have to leave a trail of your personality behind.(he is referring to a dress train).
