Unending ‘War’ In Saraki Family – Bukola Vs Gbemi, Tope, Laolu
Unending ‘War’ In Saraki Family
By Sola Sadiq -/-
There appears to be no end in sight in the fractured relationship between Senate President, Dr. Bukola Saraki and his three siblings, Gbemi, Tope and Laolu.
Attempts by mutual friends of the siblings and influential people in Kwara State, including the Emir of Ilorin, Alhaji Kolapo Sulu Gambari and religious leaders, to end the animosity have hit the rocks, with the younger Sarakis vowing never to have anything to do with their elder brother.
So messy is the ‘war’ that Gbemi, Tope and Laolu have not set eyes on the Senate President ever since the completion of the funeral rights of their father, Sen. Olusola Saraki about four years ago.
There are in fact unconfirmed reports that Gbemi may have severed all links with her brother, while allegedly taking possession of her late father’s residence at Cameron Road in Ikoyi, Lagos.
For Tope, who is married to Koye Edu, one of the sons of late Chief S L Edu, reconciling with Bukola is out of the question, ditto Laolu, who though used to be close to his brother, has since teamed up with Gbemi and Tope.
What has further complicated the rift is the no-love-lost relationship between Gbemi and Toyin, the Senate President’s wife.
